What I keep finding
You have probably been told to post more.
That advice keeps missing the actual gap.
Here is the pattern that I run into most often when I sit down with an artist to go over their art business. The artist's work is great. They are active on Instagram and have a website. The artist's take advice as they grow, and still under 100 website visits and little sales.
When I trace what is actually happening, the gap is almost never effort but connecting their marketing system with their art business plan and goals.
Here's your first art marketing tip freebee, when you sit down to batch your content for social media, make sure that every post is meant to push a specific goal that you have.
Let's say your goal is to sell a print collection, then every post should serve that goal.
The working hypothesis behind everything I build
For a lot of artists, this isn't a content problem.
It's a missing marketing and sales system connected to a long term plan.
I want to be careful with that claim, because it isn't universally true. Some artists genuinely do need more visibility, and some need to make different work. But when the work is strong and the effort is real and the sales still aren't following, posting more rarely repairs it, because posting more does not build the path between discovery, trust, an offer, a purchase, and what happens after.
That path can be designed. That is the part I do.

Field note
The most common thing I remove from an artist's marketing plan isn't a channel. It's the assumption that the next thing to do is make more of something.
Usually the next thing to do is connect two pieces that already exist.
Creative Growth Summit | connecting the dots between talent and business
I will be speaking about "How to Make SEO Simple by Collaborating with other artists!" on September 16. This is event (September 15 and 16,2026) is FREE and every artist who wants to grow their art business should attend!
There are amazing art professionals and professionals who help artists speaking for two days! That's two days filled with FREE education just for you! Don't miss it!
The Shift
I won't pile more tasks onto you. You will be more organized, have a set list of task list every week for you to act on and confidentially move through your day.
The System we create
We build the whole thing backward from your goal.
A better plan with a solid sales system makes it easier to decide how to show up in your marketing channels. But we built one thing at a time so we can ensure that each step works!
I've made the mistake of planning a whole new system for two weeks and launched with the expectation that things are going to get better.
Let me save you nearly 5 years of trial and error as a business owner and as a researcher who has been studying artists marketing for over 3 years and has been working with artists to grow their business.
Set Long Term Goals
Everything starts here and everything answers to it. We create SMART goals in my coaching practice that has a specific outcome with a number and a date, so every decision has something to be tested against.
"I will make $50,000 by selling a mail club, seasonal print collections and originals by December 2027."
Connect sales with goals
What has to sell for that number to happen? We build the offer mix, the pricing, and the targets (entry offers, core offers, repeat purchases) until the goal adds up on paper.
$25k originals · $10k commissions · $9k prints · $6k mail club.
Now it's a sales system.
The marketing built to serve it
Only now do we ask who needs to know about each offer, where they'll discover it, what the website has to do, which emails need to exist, and which campaigns carry which offer.
The website isn't "a portfolio." It's the thing that has to move $25k of originals.
The two-way part most people miss
Sales and marketing aren't consecutive steps. An offer nobody can find doesn't sell, and traffic with nothing to buy doesn't either. We design them against each other and adjust both.
If a channel can't realistically carry an offer, the offer changes or the channel does.
Your Routine and Weekly Plan
Strategy that never becomes a calendar is just a nice document. The campaign calendar, weekly priorities, content schedule, outreach, and follow-up all come out of the plan above, not out of a blank week.
You should never open your laptop or sit at your easel wondering what to do today.
Review, then adjust
Each month we look at what worked, what didn't, and why then change the system, not the goal. Metrics become decisions; decisions become next month's plan.
The goal stays the anchor. Everything underneath it is allowed to change.
The tool
We will use Motion.ai as our planning tool.
Motion ai is one of the best ADHD tools that I can not recommend enough. It is a project planner that takes your tasks into a specific schedule that we set for you and the ai schedules your tasks hour by hour so all you have to do is pull out your phone, ipad or computer to see what you have to do right at that moment.
You no longer have to sit there every day and think about the long list of mental tasks you have. This tools is adaptive and structured.
This tool is also included in my coaching fee and if you decide to cancel then we can export your projects or figure out a monthly fee. Whatever is easier!

Ginger originally came through the Artist's Launch Academy pilot program and has since transitioned into 1-on-1 coaching as an extension of that work. She's an abstract artist who's been selling for about a year, primarily through social media and art shows, with a Wix website built through the Academy.
Where the coaching is focused right now: The current work is centered on launching a limited edition print bundle as her first structured product offer. Sessions have involved pricing strategy (she landed on $30 for one print, $35 for two, with packaging costs around $80 per 100 prints including shipping), figuring out the storytelling around the prints, and building a marketing campaign around the launch rather than jumping straight into posting content.

"Yes I think coaching is the best way to go! You have so much knowledge about marketing and websites and SEO and one on one is what I think a lot of artists need.
A lot of art marketers try and sell what worked for them and some of it is helpful. But we all have a unique path and not everyone can market the same! So what you're doing is very unique and it's needed!
This one on one will definitely help me more I think."
